THE SITUATION

Cisco events serve as a high-touch interaction between their customers, partners, shareholders, employees, and other stakeholders. Their event pages presented information inconsistently and lacked Cisco's new fresh brand look and feel. On this project I delivered the experience strategy, which included:.

MY APPROACH

Under tight timelines I chose to abbreviate methods but maintain a user centered design process. Applying the methods reinforced principles like
-
light weight sketching creates the necessary distance between early solutions and the final deliverable
-
including users in your design process
-
thinking through the user's journey helped stay focused on the goal and sequence of events a user might experience
-
Architecture map, flows and annotated wireframes simplifies the communication process
-
Following a process and using best practices allowed me to describe my design approach confidently and objectively.

THE RESULT

The work inspired confidence in the product owner, giving them the starting point to secure resources for future development.
